One Hour Tour
Make your way through rice fields and head up from the basin at the foot of the mountains. Though you’re just minutes inland from Jaco, it’s like another world. Get ready to cross rivers and streams that run continuously from the Central Valley all the way down to the ocean. Expect to see an array of birds and animals on your trek through the tropical rain forest as you head to the mountain top and witness a panoramic view that will blow you away.
Two Hour Tour
Head into the rainforest to see tropical flora and fauna up close and personal. Your path takes you to a small waterfall and a perfect photo opportunity. Embrace your sense of adventure as you trek up the mountain for a spectacular 360 degree view of Playa Jaco, the Gulf of Nicoya, Tortuga Island, and Manuel Antonio. You’ll then make your way to the Ranch of Doña Marta for a quick pit stop before heading back down. Use the restroom, buy a drink or eat a delicious empanada cooked over a wood fire stove, all while enjoying an amazing panoramic view of the ocean and mountains.
Three Hour Tour
This tour starts out like the two-hour tour, winding through the rainforest, past the small waterfall and up the mountain. From the peak, your guide takes you to an even larger waterfall that’s nearly 30 feet tall. Before heading back to Jaco, take a dip in the refreshing waters, snap a few photos and relax while basking in the sun and enjoying the cooling mist from the waterfall.

Located two kilometers south of the quaint town of Damas near Jaco, you’ll have the opportunity to board a riverboat to get a firsthand experience with monkeys in Costa Rica. The monkey tour starts at a point where two little rivers meet and flow down to the mangrove estuary. Along this canal, you will see exotic flowers and trees, including gingers, heliconias, dracaenas, figs, ferns and palms. Notice how the whole estuary is full of life. You will see termite mounds, tropical birds, floating turtles, fish, crocodiles and towering mangroves all around. Friendly monkeys may actually come to the boat and be so close you can feed them from the palm of your hand.
