Why We’re Thankful for Tarpon Fishing

Table of Contents

Thanksgiving is almost here, and it’s the perfect time to give your thanks for the great things in life, like tarpon fishing.

It has been a crazy year, and 2016 has flown by. Whether you want to believe it or not, the holidays are right around the corner, and with Thanksgiving just a couple of weeks away, we think that it’s the perfect time to express a couple of the many reasons why we are thankful for tarpon fishing in Clearwater:

#1. Tarpon are huge.

No one would post a picture of themselves proudly holding up a tiny, four-inch fish on Facebook or frame it for the mantel. You save your biggest, most impressive catches for that privilege, and when you want your next enviable catch, tarpon fishing is for you. Tarpon can get up to 280 pounds and grow up to eight feet long, and nothing will look more impressive on your mantel than a picture of you holding a tarpon.

#2. Tarpon don’t make it easy.

If you are looking for a little challenge in your fishing adventure, then you can’t miss out on tarpon fishing. Tarpon require a whole new level of skill and technique, and they are known for putting up a tough fight when you reel them in. When you want to catch a tarpon, you really have to work for it.

Although we’ve only had time to go over a couple of reasons to be thankful for tarpon fishing, trust us when we say that this is one fishing experience that can’t be missed. Experience for yourself why we are so thankful for tarpon fishing when you sign up for our tarpon fishing charter in Clearwater!

We had a great inshore trip with Ethan on 3/14/23. We didn’t spend the entire trip driving around and caught fish wherever we were. Personally, I think these trips are best when you have a captain that’s vocal and interactive. One that wants to have... read more

Patrick and Sam were awesome. Got us in the fish in no time. They were more than accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There were 5 of us on the boat besides them and everyone spent ample time reeling in the fish. Easily caught our limit. Thank again Patrick and Sam.... read more
